Custom Foam Inquiry

What is “custom foam”?

A foam application that has unique dimensions, cut outs or specific requirements is considered a custom foam application.  The term “custom foam” is actually used to designate a specially made foam product that is not mass produced at a standard size.

Foam packaging will provide good cushioning, thermal insulation, allow for stacking, be lightweight and easy to handle. Foam packaging comes in a variety of thickness, densities and colors and all can be found in our custom packing foam collection. Our selection of foam applications include:
  • Polyethylene Foam, also known as PE, polylamor polyplank, is a strong resilient closed cell foam. Polyethylene is lightweight, shatter proof, flexible, cost-effective, and impervious to mildew, mold, rot, and bacteria. Recommended uses include: shock absorbing, vibration dampening, loose fill, and is commonly used for the following applications: packaging, aerospace, floatation devices, athletic equipment, and appliances. Polyethylene can easilybe sheeted, die cut, straight cut or glued to form.
  • Polyurethane Foam, also known as ether and convoluted foam, is a strong resilient open cell form.  Polyurethane is lightweight, shatter proof, flexible, cost-effective, and impervious to mildew, mold, rot, and bacteria.  Recommended uses include: product encapsulation, shock absorbing, vibration dampening, limiting product movement, and is commonly used for the following applications: packaging, electronic, appliances and furniture protection.  Polyurethane can easily sheeted or egg shaped, die cut or glued to form.
  • Expanded Poly Styrene, also known as Styrofoam is a strong resilient closed cell form. EPS is lightweight, shatter proof,  cost-effective, and impervious to mildew, mold, rot, and bacteria.  Recommended uses include: product encapsulation, insulation, shock absorption and is commonly used for the following applications: construction insulation, packaging insulation, delicate product protection, electronic, appliances and furniture protection.  EPS can be easily sheeted, die cut, shaped, straight cut or molded to form.
